Read here the sentence of the Court of Barcelona to four and a half years in prison for Dani Alves

The Barcelona Court has sentenced former Brazilian FC Barcelona player, Dani Alves, to four and a half years in prison for the rape of a young woman at the Sutton nightclub in the Catalan capital on December 30, 2022. In addition, the court establishes a period of five years of supervised release, which will be applied once the prison sentence has been completed; prohibition of approaching the victim's home or workplace within 1,000 meters and communicating with her by any means for a period of 9 years and 6 months. To compensation of 150,000 euros for moral damage and injuries; A fine of 9,000 euros is added for a minor crime of injuries.

The court considers that it has been proven with evidence and testimony that the victim did not consent to the sexual relationship they had. Furthermore, it is considered proven that "the accused abruptly grabbed the complainant, threw her to the ground and, preventing her from moving, penetrated her vaginally, even though the complainant said no, that she wanted to leave."
