Radio Associació de Catalunya has tonight received the award for Communication and Disclosure of the 29th Night of Telecommunications and IT where the best professionals and projects in the ICT sector have been awarded. Josep Casanovas, Susana Prado, Víctor Canivell and Eduard Martín have been other outstanding awardees of these prizes awarded by the Catalan Association of Telecommunications Engineering and Digital Technologies (Telecos.cat) and the Official College of Computer Engineering of Catalonia (COEINF).

The jury wanted to highlight the informative work carried out by Radio Associació de Catalunya for its dedication to preserving and disseminating the history of the first radio station in the Spanish state, Radio Barcelona EAJ1. Within the framework of the centenary of the arrival of radio in Catalonia, they have carried out extensive research and documentation work, in addition to planning and executing various celebratory activities such as the documentary “La ràdio silenced”, the launch of the book “TU, CALLA . Silences and forgetfulness. Memoirs of Josefina Rifà and radio broadcasting in Catalonia” and the podcast “Tu, calla”, outreach meetings and the Radio Associació Awards gala at the Palau de la Música.

The highest distinction of the night, the Honor award, went to the founder of inLab FIB, co-director of LogiSim and former dean of the Faculty of Informatics of Barcelona, ​​Josep Casanovas. Founder of the inLab FIB, he was its director from 2012 to 2020. His main research areas have been modeling and simulation, the internet and information systems.

The Salvà i Campillo award for Outstanding Personality has been awarded to Susana Prado, general director of INETUM Catalunya, where they generate a business volume close to 100 million euros. The Joan Clarke award for outstanding CIO has gone to Eduard Martín, CIO and Director of Innovation at the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation, involved in the digital transformation of Barcelona and Catalonia.

Regarding the Salvà i Campillo Award for Entrepreneurship, it was received by Víctor Canivell, co-founder of Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, the first full-stack quantum computing company in Spain that has developed an architecture of analog quantum processors that offer innovative solutions in various sectors. industrial. The Alan Turing Award for Social Commitment has gone to the director of the Institut Eugeni d'Ors of Badalona, ​​Cristina Steegmann, where she has managed to integrate ICT in education.

Ainhoa ​​Castaño has been awarded the new Young Talent award. Castaño is a student of Computer Engineering and Electronic Telecommunications Engineering at the UAB, she stands out for her involvement and leadership in various academic and social initiatives. This year there has also been a special recognition from the La Nit Jury for the association that represents the digital industry sector at the national level, AMETIC, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.

In addition to the awards decided by the Jury, the organizers of La Nit wanted to award two double recognitions. On the one hand, to the General Directorate of Digital Administration and the Center for Telecommunications and Information Technologies for promoting public, governed and open data as the country's fundamental infrastructure. And on the other hand, to the Consell de Col·legis Farmacèutics de Catalunya and the Col·legi Official de Metges de Barcelona for their pioneering nature, 25 years ago, in the development of professional digital identity with the creation of Firmaprofesional, the digital infrastructure secure for the electronic signature, essential for the creation of the Electronic Recipe.
