Prosecutor's Office investigates the PP video that points to the Valencian deputies who voted for Sánchez

The Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Valencia has opened criminal investigation proceedings into the accusation by the Valencian PP of Valencian Socialist and Compromís-Sumar deputies who voted in favor of the investiture of Pedro Sánchez through a video broadcast on social networks in November 2023, as Cadena Ser has announced and this newspaper has confirmed.

Both groups - PSPV and Compromís - denounced the PP to the Prosecutor's Office for inciting hatred and considering that this video is "anti-democratic" because it pointed to public officials and accused them of committing crimes. In the video the photographs and the name and surname of some deputies appear, accompanied by the phrase: "These are the deputies of the PSOE and Compromís who have voted YES to the breakup of Spain and inequality between Spaniards" can be read in the message .

Given these events, the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Valencia, through a letter, has initiated criminal investigation proceedings and has appointed an investigating prosecutor to review them. The organizational secretary of the PSPV, José Muñoz, held President Carlos Mazón and the Popular Party responsible for "what happens" to the socialist officials if they continued the protests at their headquarters or rebuked them.

From Compromís, the spokesperson in Congress Águeda Micó described the video of the Popular Party as a "call for aggression", while it "encourages citizens to show themselves against the deputies who voted in favor of Sánchez's investiture

For its part, the PSPV-PSOE, on its 'X' account (formerly Twitter), has highlighted that "there are attitudes and silences that have consequences." "Now it will be justice who speaks," he assured.
