A 48-year-old man was shot dead and two others injured are the result of the assault on a farmhouse in Matagorda, located in the Almeria municipality of El Ejido. The Civil Guard, which has taken over the investigation of the crime, has not yet made any arrests and little has emerged about the event, so it is unknown how many people entered the place wreaking chaos by surprise.
What has been revealed is that at the time of the attack there were four people in the house, the owner of the property and several friends who had gathered to have a meal. The wife of the owner of the premises, who had been absent shortly before to run "some errands", was the one who found the crime scene and who alerted Emergencies 112.
The farmhouse, in the vicinity of the Pozo de la Tía Manolica neighborhood, was attacked last Friday afternoon, when Emergencies activated the Civil Guard, Local Police and health workers from Emergency Center 061. Upon arrival, the troops were unable to more than certifying the death of a 48-year-old man from a firearm, while two other people had been injured. One of them, 61 years old, remains hospitalized with serious injuries at the Hospital del Poniente.
Sources from the Almería Command have confirmed that an investigation has been opened to clarify what happened, while at the same time they have specified that at the moment there have been no arrests related to a case that is an "isolated incident."
