On the verge of tragedy. What should have been a festive afternoon was about to be dyed with mourning due to a blunder that brought together nine bulls and a parade in the streets of the Alicante town of Gata de Gorgos in which dozens of festeros, families with children, participated little ones included, who were forced to run to stay safe.
Fortunately, no one was injured and the animals were redirected without causing damage. The quick reaction of the participants and the security services prevented the bulls from attacking.
The moment of panic was captured in a video that quickly went viral on social networks, generating concern and comments among the neighbors and followers of the Gata de Gorgos festivities.
After the scare, the celebration continued without further incident, while the municipal authorities promised to study the action protocols to prevent such a serious incident from happening again.
