The Evaluation, Risk and Protection Commission of the Mossos d'Esquadra has reported that it has detected the publication of new data on agents of the force extracted from a corporate email of the force. The Mossos already detected a first leak last Thursday and today they have confirmed that they have discovered another in a very restricted area of ​​​​the Internet.

The stolen data was in a document with information about some agents - who have already been informed of the situation and have been offered the possibility of reporting the events - and were obtained from the same email intercepted by the attackers, despite the fact that The body is working under the possibility that a second mailbox has been breached.

The Mossos d'Esquadra already opened an investigation last Thursday the 15th following the leak of a document with personal data of regional police officers that was in a corporate mailbox that received a computer attack using a malicious email.

As reported by the Mossos in a statement, as a result of this leak, which occurred in a very small area of ​​​​cyberspace, the Evaluation and Protection Commission was activated, chaired by the chief commissioner, Eduard Sallent, among other commanders that make up this body. .

For the moment, the measures that were adopted after becoming aware of this leak consisted of informing the affected people and communicating it to the Data Protection Agency.

The affected email mailbox, which according to sources consulted by EFE, received a message with a malicious link in a computer attack, was also blocked, and the Information and Communication Technologies Protocol was activated.
