A boat was trying to recover some bundles of hashish anchored on the coast of Almería when the Civil Guard cut short their plans. The operation ended with the recovery of 35 packages of 1,160 kilos sunk in the sea.

The intervention occurred when, through the Integrated External Surveillance System (SIVE), a boat was detected that raised the suspicions of the agents since it could be carrying out illegal activities on the west coast of Almería.

For this reason, the Provincial Maritime Service of the Civil Guard (Patrullera Río Nacimiento) was activated to move quickly. Upon arrival, the agents were able to observe how this boat, upon detecting the police presence, fled at high speed.

Once in the area where the boat was, the agents observed the existence of a large number of burlap packages that were floating in the sea and anchored through some dead weight, for which the support of the Group of Specialists was requested. of Subaquatic Activities (GEAS) recovering the 35 packages that yielded a weight of about 1,160 kg of hashish.
