Mazón announces the creation of an office to support the "relocation" of companies

The 'president' of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has announced the creation of an office to support the relocation of companies that decide to settle in the Valencian Community, following Junts' proposal to provide tax incentives for companies that have their headquarters in Catalonia and to be able to sanction those who moved their headquarters from Catalonia due to the 'procés' and do not return.

This was announced this Friday by the head of the Consell during his speech at the New Year's cocktail party of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (Euipo), based in Alicante.

Mazón has stressed that the Generalitat will work "attending to all the problems" and has pointed out that there is "some new ones that I did not expect to suffer", such as, in his opinion, the "threats to companies that freely want to establish themselves in the Valencian Community."

"It is not tolerable, it cannot happen, because it goes against the very essence of the EU, against the free traffic of goods, people and against the free establishment of companies. This in today's Spain is not tolerable, it does not have a pass ", he stated.

In this context, it has announced that, for companies that decide to establish themselves in the Valencian Community, the Generalitat will launch the creation of an office to support the relocation of companies that establish themselves in Valencian lands.

"We will implement it to guarantee equity, free movement and business freedom, which is the prelude to employment and social cohesion," he stressed.

Previously, at an event held by the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs of the Province of Alicante (Fempa), when asked about this matter by the media, Mazón stated that they will not "tolerate attacks on freedom of traffic." , of establishment, of circulation, of goods, people and against the establishment of companies".

"We are not going to tolerate it and we are going to put all the mechanisms at our disposal, the legal ones of course, until their ultimate consequences," he stated, while developing the planned new office.
