Mataró incorporates eight new agents to the Local Police staff

The mayor, David Bote; the Councilor for Security, Núria Moreno; and the head of the Local Police, Mayor Mateo Sánchez, have welcomed the eight new agents who have joined the Local Police of Mataró (Maresme).

The members of the new promotion - 4 women and 4 men - started working on Monday, September 25, having passed the selection process and also the basic training for police officers that they have completed at the Public Security Institute of Catalonia (ISPC) during nine months. Now, the new agents, who fill positions that had been left vacant, will spend a year in an internship period, during which they will be tutored by the commanders of the force.

Nearly 500 people aspire to fill one of the 10 vacant positions in the Local Police. The selection process began on September 16 with the theoretical test, will continue with the physical and psychotechnical tests, and will end with the basic training course for police officers at the Public Security Institute of Catalonia that will begin next January .
