Buenos Aires and Lima consolidate their positions in 2023 as the most solid gastronomic destinations in Latin America, leading with eight restaurants each on the list. The entry into the ranking of Alo's (number 38) and Niño Gordo (number 43) stands out in the Argentine capital; while Crizia re-enters the list at number 41. In Lima, on the other hand, Cosme has joined the ranking (number 50) and La Mar has rejoined (number 42). São Paulo and Mexico City follow closely, with five entries each.

The Latin America's Best Pastry Chef Award 2023 went this year to Maribel Aldaco, pastry chef at Fauna (in the Mexican Valle de Guadalupe, now number 5), and Pangea, in Monterrey, won the Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award, an award for his front-of-house work. The Brazilian Manu Bufarra has won the Flor de Caña Sustainable Restaurant Award for her Manu de ella restaurant, in Curitiba (Brazil), for her work in trying to be much more respectful of the environment.
