Madonna opens up at her last concert: "It's a miracle that I'm here right now"

Madonna is back, and many thought they would never see the so-called "queen of pop" on stage again. Just four months ago, the singer was found unconscious at her home and she was urgently admitted to the hospital, having to cancel all of her professional commitments and her world tour, Celebration.

Diagnosed with a serious bacterial infection, the 64-year-old artist had to do everything possible to fully recover. As if it were a miracle, just a few months later, the artist was reunited with her audience in London and in Merksem (Belgium), where she could not stop tears from coming to her eyes when she saw herself there and not bedridden.

"Less than four months ago I was in the hospital, unconscious, people thought I wouldn't survive," the visibly emotional singer told the thousands of fans who had gathered to see her show at the Merksem Sportpaleis, remembering the such hard days that he spent in the ICU bed fighting his illness.

"It's a fucking miracle that I'm here right now," she added, through tears, without being able to help it.

Among other things, the singer assured that she had remembered her mother, who died of breast cancer when she was only five years old. "While in bed, I had a strange thought, I suddenly had empathy with my mother. Not because of her death, but because of how alone she must have felt in the hospital, knowing that she was not going to survive," she explained. "They gave me another chance, so I'm very grateful for that," she concluded.

The artist, who still has difficulty standing properly, had to delay the start of her performance, as she felt a little weak to begin. However, she came out strong, as she also did in previous days at her concerts at the historic O2 Arena in London, where she triumphed in style.

"I don't feel very good right now, but I feel very lucky and grateful; I can't complain, because I'm alive. Thank God for my children and for all their love and support."

Precisely in London, the singer also wanted to speak out about the war conflict that currently exists between Israel and Palestine. As a mother, the artist wanted to speak out about everything that is happening in the world, especially to children. An event that is "breaking his heart", especially because it seems that no one "wants to see" what is happening.

"Children are being kidnapped, beheaded, shot and killed. What is happening in the world? How can human beings be so cruel to each other?... This is only getting worse. It gives me fear," said the singer.

"All the children in the world belong to us, no matter what their skin color or what they are like. We are responsible for them," the singer insisted, very excited. "We are human beings, we cannot lose our humanity. Our hearts can be broken, but our spirit should never be broken. We are enough to be able to turn this situation around and bring light back to the world."

The artist earned the applause of her followers in London, who did not hesitate to raise their little lights and applaud her words.
