Since the singer announced that she would be part of the cast of the Joker sequel, there are many followers who are watching her networks to see if she announces anything new. And sure enough, she has given her more than 53 million Instagram followers a Valentine's gift by posting a photo from the shoot.
In the snapshot you can see her next to Joaquin Phoenix about to kiss. Moviegoers have not been slow to thank the artist for being present and to share her image on different social networks. On Twitter, for example, she has been a trending topic for part of the morning.
The film is expected to be released on October 4, 2024, exactly five years after the debut of the first film. Unlike the dark tone of the original film, this sequel will be a musical titled Joker: Folie à Deux (Madness of two, in Spanish), which will be directed again by Todd Phillips and in which Gaga is expected to give life to Harley Quinn, the Joker's partner in crime. In fact, its very title refers to a disorder in which two or more people share psychiatric symptoms, usually delusions.
The singer hopes to repeat the success of the first film, which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide and garnered 11 Oscar nominations, highly unusual for a movie based on a comic. Her experience at the awards would not come again, because in 2019 she opted for a golden statuette after starring in A Star Is Born.
The first news about the film came in early summer, when Phillips uploaded a photo of the script to his Instagram profile along with another snapshot of Phoenix himself reading the same script.
