La Real awaits Barça in the Cup final

After the 0-3 win at San Mamés, Barça only has to put the final touch on the tie against Athletic Club to meet in the final with Real Sociedad, who won yesterday at the Reale Arena (2-1) against Atlético de Madrid after the 1-1 first leg.

The Blaugrana have everything they need to seal their place in a new final, the second of the season after winning the Super Cup in January by beating Levante (7-0). Although Jonatan Giráldez's message in the preview was not to be overconfident: "We cannot settle for the classification, we need to maintain good dynamics." Furthermore, the Catalan team's coach warns of the dangers of a rival on a good streak: “Athletic has a good feeling, because they beat Levante in the last league match and they will surely do things similar to that match plan. We must be prepared to adapt, especially in the first minutes.”

Barça wants to get rid of the thorn they have had with the Queen's Cup since they were eliminated from the competition last season due to Geyse's improper alignment in the first round.

The Catalan team is the king of cups, with a total of nine titles in its showcases and this season aspires to a historic poker of titles. They already have the Super Cup in their pocket and are the undisputed and sole leaders of League F. In the Cup, they only have to finish the job to secure a place in the final on May 18, at a venue yet to be determined. And they will close the month of March with the double elimination quarter-final of the Champions League against Norwegian team Brann.

Giráldez now has practically all his strength after recovering Fridolina Rolfö and Alexia Putellas, after several months off the playing field. Only Mapi León and Jana Fernàndez remain in the infirmary. Despite the complication of her injury, this Tuesday she began training with the group and has entered the final phase of her recovery.
