Jarabe de Palo announced this Tuesday that it will offer seventeen concerts in different Spanish cities during the months of February, March and April 2024 to pay tribute to Pau Donés, its vocalist who died in 2020.
“Aware of the mark he has left, Pau's friends and family decided to work on the idea of a show in concert format to honor him as a musician, composer and person,” said his brother Marc Donés in a statement.
The songs, performed by the original band and three selected vocalists, will be seventeen songs composed by the artist that show the different musical stages that the group has gone through in its 24 years of history, among them 'La Flaca', 'Grita' , 'Two Days in the Life', 'Sleep with Me' and 'The Dark Side'.
Tronco Records, the record label founded by Donés, has confirmed that there will be concerts in Gijón (February 9), Bilbao (February 10), Pamplona (February 11), Valencia (February 15), Murcia (February 17), Girona (February 23), Mallorca (March 8), Santiago de Compostela (March 15), A Coruña (March 16), Lleida (March 22) and Zaragoza (March 23).
In addition, they will play in Seville (April 4), Malaga (April 5), Granada (April 6), Alicante (April 12), Barcelona (April 26) and Madrid (April 27), where this tour will end. tribute.
The show will also feature video projections that will reflect “life lessons” from Pau Donés, who died on June 9, 2020 at the age of 53, after having relapsed from colon cancer that was diagnosed in 2015.
