“I live alone in a vintage motorhome called Clonsivan”

I feel like a nomadic being, an explorer connected to the universe who lives in a vintage motorhome called Clonsivan.

When did nomadism start?

As soon as I finished my degree I lived in London, in Malta, in London again... I ended up as a sales director in foreign trade and at the same time I trained in coaching, yoga and meditation because it was something I needed for myself.

Why a motorhome?

All my life I have felt like I didn't fit in. One of the great treasures that pushed me to grow and evolve spiritually was experiencing pain and suffering since I was little.

What happened?

In my house everything was screaming and fighting, my father tried to commit suicide twice, my mother was depressed and I tried to cheer them both up.

Wow, I'm sorry.

Finding my place in the world was quite a challenge, it was difficult for me to accept that the home I was looking for was inside me.

You get that anywhere.

I like to move and the time came when I wanted to stop working and start drinking, that is to say: enjoy working.

When did you take the big leap?

I had been taking long trips with the motorhome for some time, but at the age of 35 I decided to leave my career as a director in foreign trade to lead my own path.

What did it consist of?

I created Exploring in the Sky, I accompany people to find their freedom through external and internal travel, but before that I traveled alone for years and met many people who lived like that.

Your first experience in company?

I went with eight strangers and another motorhome to Croatia, Bosnia and the Dolomites.

Isn't coexistence complicated?

That's the beautiful thing, when you travel with eight people and no one knows each other, you take off your mask, you dare to be you, and that's when the magic arises, but obviously things move because we talk about internal and intense things.

This is not a tourist trip.

No, it is an internal journey, we barely touch cities, we live in the middle of nature. I invite people to sign up for trips where they don't know anyone, to come alone.

What unforeseen events did you encounter?

The problems at first were constant, when the exhaust pipe didn't break I would get water or lose electricity, but you end up integrating it and getting ready for it. And there is another important thing.

You will say.

The detachment, when I moved to the caravan I realized that I had many more things than I needed and I got rid of everything. I need less and less, and that makes me feel better and better.

A drastic life change.

Very powerful, from living as society tells you you should live to creating your own life in accordance with what suits you best. Many people who come to travel with me are not looking to live like me but to find their way.

I understand.

There are many ways to live but we have not questioned how we want to live. It is important to observe your surroundings and ask yourself if what you are seeing suits you. When people find their place, they shine.

Have you found people like you?

Yes, many people have opted for the vanlife lifestyle, from YouTubers to influencers, and that's how I started, creating my YouTube channel and explaining the camping of a caravan and my trips.

Is this how you make a living?

The question is: what do you need to live? Sometimes we focus so much on the material part that we become slaves. For me, abundance is having time, but yes, I make a living, I do mentoring.

What kind of mentoring?

I accompany those who want to live like me throughout the entire process: from where to find a caravan to how to condition it, etc. And I created Exploring in the Sky, trips that are a retreat but in a motorhome.

In wild nature?

Yes, and we do meditation, yoga and inner exploration. I also have a membership, Brave Explorers, in which we get together to support each other, there are people who embark on this adventure at 60 years old. I love accompanying women to fulfill their dreams.

Aren't you afraid of being in a place alone?

I was robbed the first night I slept in my motorhome. That's it, I've already passed it. In any case, I prefer to be a little scared than die alive.

Look, it's strange, but I trust my intuition: I ask my body, do you feel safe here? Is this the right path?... and I assume the answer, that is learning to flow. When we let go of control everything seems magical.
