The accident took place that day at 8:30 p.m. on Avenida de los Andes number 11, in the Canillas neighborhood. An ambulance from Samur-Civil Protection went to the scene and treated the boy, who had suffered a blow to the head but his condition was not serious.
The municipal agents who arrived at the scene found three other young people, ages 16, 17 and 18, next to the injured man, who stated that the four were with their scooters on Machupichu Avenue when a group of about 10 young people approached them on scooters. taking out large machetes, threatening them so that they would give them their belongings.
The victims stated that they fled at high speed from the scene, also on scooters, towards Avenida de los Andes. It was there when the scooter on which the 14-year-old and the 16-year-old were traveling accidentally collided with the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) bus, leaving the first injured and the second unharmed.
The boys who threatened them quickly fled the scene. They were hooded, wearing dark clothing and carrying machetes. The Municipal Police patrolled the area without being able to arrest them.
