Google Drive will stop working in August for many Windows users

There are three days left until Google Drive stops working on some devices. On August 1, Google's hugely popular document management app will stop working for many users. If you are one of them, you should save all your stored documents now, since they will no longer be available as soon as the measure is implemented.

This cloud storage is used daily by millions of people, who use it to download photos, videos or documents from their computer, or to have copies of very important documents. If you want to know in which cases the application will stop working so as not to suffer a loss of documents, continue reading.

Google has announced that its storage app will no longer be available on some versions of Microsoft's operating system. Through its Workspace page, the technology company states that the application will lose support in some versions of Windows:

All these versions will be exposed to security flaws that can cause malware and third parties to enter our documents.

This application for Windows and Mac allows users to save their computer files to the cloud, where they can organize and manage them without taking up storage space on their computer.

The application will continue to be available for users of Windows 10 64-bit or later, so Google urges affected users to upgrade to this system before August. Also, users with a 32bit version of Windows will be able to use Drive from a browser.
