From the dry land vineyards to those surrounded by flowers

The vineyards of Font-rubí, in Alt Penedès, are feeling the effects of the drought, but also those of late spring, as can be seen in these images in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.

In this way, in the same territory we see, on the one hand, dry land vines and, on the other, surrounded by a colorful and wide carpet of flowers.

Font-rubí transports us to the northern part of the Alt Penedès region, on the border with Anoia, in a privileged natural area, with farmland, mainly vineyards, fields, and olive trees.

It is a territory also surrounded by mountains with important areas of forest, numerous natural sources and with the testimony of the Montserrat mountain range.

The population lives very dispersed in towns and villages, but the economic base is agriculture, above all, the vineyard, the protagonist of these images.
