Four years ban for Paul Pogba for doping

The Italian Anti-Doping Court has imposed a harsh four-year ban on Paul Pogba, a 30-year-old Juventus Turin player, for having tested positive for the Dhea hormone after a match last August between Juventus and Udinese.

Finally, the Court accepted the prosecution's request and punished the French midfielder very harshly, since he will not be able to play football again until he is 34 years old, so his career may be considered cut short.

The player always defended himself against the accusations of doping by ensuring that he had ingested the substance accidentally and that in no case had it been his intention to improve his sporting performance.

The match in question took place on August 20. Subsequently, the player underwent an anti-doping test that showed a positive result for the hormone Dhea. The player had rejected a plea deal, which would have halved his sentence.

World champion with France in 2018, the midfielder has been one of the most desired players of the last decade by combining outstanding physical conditions with exquisite technique. After shining at Juventus, he decided to sign for Manchester United, a decision that proved wrong as it did not help the footballer achieve important sporting goals.

After several injuries and worrying off-sport episodes, the World Champion returned to Juventus, where he hit rock bottom when it was discovered that he had used doping substances.
