Four Real Madrid youth players were arrested by the Civil Guard this Thursday, accused of an alleged crime of revealing secrets of a sexual nature, according to El Confidencial and confirmed by La Vanguardia from sources in the investigation.
The Civil Guard is leading the investigation, which is focused on a complaint filed on September 6, when a mother accompanied by her 16-year-old daughter reported in Santa Maria de Guía (Las Palmas) the existence of recordings of consensual sexual relations with his daughter. The images were recorded without her consent and were being distributed via mobile devices. The events occurred in the town of Mogán in mid-June, but the victim has now learned that these images exist.
For this reason, Court 3 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana has ordered the Civil Guard to bring to justice several people, of legal age, and belonging to lower categories of Real Madrid, whose mobile devices and his freedom has been agreed.
The arrests were made this Thursday morning. Among those arrested is a player from Real Madrid Castilla and two from Real Madrid C, as well as another player from the latter category as an investigator.
The identity of the detainees has not been revealed and investigators point out that the first team could have been involved.
Real Madrid confirmed the arrests in a brief statement in which it stated that it was “aware that a Castilla player and three Real Madrid C players have given a statement to the Civil Guard in relation to a complaint for the alleged dissemination of a private video on WhatsApp.”
“When the club has detailed knowledge of the facts, it will adopt the appropriate measures,” the statement concluded.
According to initial information, the four arrested people shared a video of sexual content on WhatsApp in which the minor appeared. All of them have been arrested at the Real Madrid Sports City this Thursday morning and interrogated by the Civil Guard.
