In Cercs, the Basseta fountain, also known as the Great Fountain, stands out. It is located within the urban area of Cercs, next to the Les Garrigues stream and at the foot of the old Ribes road, which crosses the town.
It is one of the busiest and most visited fountains in the Berguedà region. Sometimes there is even a queue to fill water jugs.
The complex is made up of the fountain and the laundry room. It is located on a small terrace sunken from the road and elevated from the torrent. The water that flows arises naturally, although it is channeled and equipped with eight jets.
There is an entire recreational area around the fountain, which is an ideal place to fetch water and spend a day with the family. There is a picnic area next to the stream with small waterfalls.
