Foment del Treball has awarded the Medals of Honor to Victor Grífols Deu and Raimon Grífols Roura, CEOs of Grífols, and Enrique Lacalle Coll, President of Automobile Barcelona, for their professional careers and their impact on society.
The employers' association, which celebrates the Dia de l'Empresa tomorrow at the Drassanes Reials, will also award the Carles Ferrer Salat prizes. In its XV edition, seven companies are awarded: Noel, for its social commitment; Agromillora, for its innovation and new technologies, Colonial, for its sustainable development; Cromogenia Units, for its internationalization; Unilever Spain for Equality; and two ex-aequo awards: MiWendo Solutions and Roldós as SMEs of the year.
Lacalle has held management positions in different boards of directors of companies such as his Abertis or Red Eléctrica Española. On the other hand, he was a special delegate of the State in the Barcelona Free Zone Consortium and President of the Executive Committee of the same for eight years. Lacalle has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Fira de Barcelona, executive president of the Barcelona Meeting Point and executive president of the International Logistics and Maintenance Exhibition.
The event will be attended by the President of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonés, and will be attended by the President of the Parliament of Catalonia, Laura Borràs, and the Minister of Business and Labor, Roger Torrent.
With the institution of its annual awards, Foment del Treball wants to recognize and thank the effort and determination of outstanding personalities for their commitment to social and business development.
