Five people have been treated by the emergency services due to high carbon monoxide poisoning due to a gas leak that occurred in a home in El Pla de Santa Maria (Tarragona), as reported by the Generalitat Firefighters who received the notice before midnight.

The firefighters received the first warning at around 11:47 p.m. from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques, and upon arriving at the affected home they found high concentrations of carbon monoxide throughout the building after taking the pertinent readings.

The Firefighters crew that participated was in charge of ventilating the floor with electric fans until the carbon monoxide levels had decreased.

The emergency services, which activated four ground units, treated the poisoned people, five of whom have been transferred with a less serious prognosis to the Valls Hospital.
