The Golden State Warriors have opened an investigation into a confrontation in which Draymond Green punched teammate Jordan Poole during practice.

Shams Charania, one of the journalists with the best sources in the NBA, assured this Wednesday in the first place that Green "hit" Poole after an argument that became heated.

After a verbal confrontation, the two players pushed each other, Green punched Poole and the two had to be separated afterwards so that the situation would not escalate, according to Charania's account.

Adrian Wojnarowski, another journalist with wide access within the league, later reported on ESPN and according to his own sources that Green "punched" Poole. "Poole was not injured by the punch and completed training on him before leaving training on Wednesday," Wojnarowski said.

Green, 32, a four-time All-Star, is entering his 11th season in the league, all with the Warriors. For his part, Poole, 23, will add his fourth season after the Warriors selected him 28th overall in the 2019 draft. Last season was his best year in the elite of world basketball, averaging 18.5 points. per game in 76 contests (51 starts).

The reigning NBA champions are preparing to defend their title this upcoming season. After the incident between Green and Poole, the Warriors canceled practice and are investigating what happened to determine if any disciplinary action is necessary.
