Feijóo reproaches Sánchez for going to the Goya on the "night of mourning" for the two civil guards

Alberto Núñez Feijóo believes that the Government does not care about what happened in Barbate where two Civil Guards died and proof of this is that "on the day of the accident the President of the Government went to a film festival." The leader of the PP did not manage to pronounce the name of the cinematographic cultural event, which is none other than the Goya gala that was held on Saturday in Valladolid.

The president of the PP has asked for the resignation of the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska, for his actions after the death of the two civil guards from Barbate (Cádiz). But he has also criticized Pedro Sánchez for attending the Goya gala "on the night of mourning" for the death of the two agents.

Feijóo traveled this Sunday afternoon to Outeiro do Rei, a town near Lugo where the PP sweeps the municipal elections with 70%. There it received a dedicated audience although it is true that some of the chairs in the sports center were empty.

Feijoo has focused part of his speech on the deaths of the two civil guards and has accused Marlaska of "disdaining" the Civil Guard for not having met "with the agents of the post where the events occurred." For this reason, he considered that the minister should "have resigned for not having been able to maintain the security of the agents operating in the south of Andalusia." The opposition leader has even said that the Minister of the Interior will not sit at the next Council of Ministers to be held on Tuesday.

The criticism against Marlaska has not been limited to the events that occurred in Cádiz, he has also asked for his resignation due to the "failure" in border control and the collusion with the entourage of the ETA prisoners, in reference to the rapprochement of the prisoners. to the prisons of the Basque Country.

The popular leader plans to travel to Barbate tomorrow, Monday, to personally express his support for the Civil Guard and commit to continuing working so that "the money that is wasted to maintain a Government and its allies is made available to the men who defend us." .
