Despite the institutional nature of the event being held in Congress, the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, did not miss the opportunity to criticize the PSOE not only for the granting of the amnesty, but for the visit that the organization secretary of the PSOE, Santos Cerdán, made yesterday, in Brussels, the former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont, and for the "boycott" of the members of the PSOE to the act of Swearing in of the Constitution by Princess Leonor.
"I want to congratulate the Royal House and congratulate us, the Spaniards" for the Oath of the Constitution by the Princess of Asturias, said Feijóo, since the act represents "her commitment to the Constitution and to complying with it and enforcing it," which which supposes, he assured, the "continuity of the parliamentary Monarchy."
For Feijóo, "this is the good news. The bad news is that the Government and the partners that have been supporting it are boycotting the event, which I deeply regret."
For Feijóo, that more than 50 deputies who are willing to support Sánchez "boycott the oath of the Constitution, represents another democratic anomaly and there are many," among them, the photo of the PSOE organization secretary with Puigdemont, on Monday in Brussels.
"The PSOE is collecting a series of decisions and photos that embarrass the majority of those who have been and are PSOE militants and will embarrass the PSOE in the future," said Feijóo, for whom "the image is not that of a reconciliation, I would like it, but that of humiliation and image and surrender.
And for Feijóo "the PSOE went to surrender and pay homage to a person who has pending issues with the Supreme Court, and who has proven that without him, Mr. Sánchez is nothing."
