Father Ángel organizes a dinner for a hundred homeless people at the Teatro Real

Fully recovered from his health problems that put him in the hospital last November, Father Ángel has once again hosted a special Christmas Eve dinner in which his Messengers of Peace foundation feeds more of one hundred homeless people.

As tradition dictates, this Christmas Eve dinner is held every year in a special place in Madrid and on this occasion it took place at the Royal Theater in the capital, after having taken place in previous years at the Prado Museum or the Cibeles Palace.

For this Christmas Eve solidarity dinner in 2023, Father Ángel has not been alone, but has been accompanied by hundreds of volunteers as well as the ambassador of the United States, Julissa Reynoso, as well as the vice chancellor of Institutional Relations of the Complutense University of Madrid, José María Coello, and the president of the Teatro Real, Gregorio Marañón.

The initiative of Father Ángel's foundation has been carrying out this tradition since 2015, and seeks to give visibility to the problem faced by thousands of people who do not have a home: "We live in a society rich in values where people want to share," he said in the act the priest.

The dinner menu at the Teatro Real has been composed of Iberian sausages, prawns with lime and coriander mayonnaise, cauliflower cream with cashews, ginger and honey, baked lamb, nougat biscuit and orange sauce and Christmas sweets, which has delighted the hundreds of attendees.

The dinner was enlivened by Christmas carols performed by Cristina Sanz Hernán on the piano in the center of the room set up for the special occasion in the opera house in the capital of Spain.

But these hundred homeless people have not been the only lucky ones who have been able to have a hot dinner under a roof thanks to Messengers of Peace, but many others have also done so in the Church of San Antón, Father Ángel's parish.
