The Assembly of the Regional Federation of ERC in the Maresme chose last night by 117 votes (67.24%) to 47 (31.03%) the candidacy 'Sumem pel Maresme', led by Marc Almendro (President) and Annabel Moreno (Secretary General) to direct the county executive. The proposal of the mayor of Alella and the former mayoress of Arenys de Mar has been imposed on the candidacy of Sebastià Pujol and Tònia Vila 'Muscular la comarca'.
In an event held at the Foment Mataroní, the president and the outgoing Secretary General, Josep Pena and Rosa Funtané, issued an assessment report on the four years of management at the head of the regional federation, a period of difficult management marked by a pandemic, which according to the official statement "has rolled back forecasts, but has not undone initiatives."
Both the management report and the economic management report presented by the Finance Secretary, Laia Sorribes, have received the support of the ERC assembly. The mandate of Pena and Funtané, continues the press release, leaves ERC with a path that has begun, with a shared presidency in the Regional Council, and the presence of the Maresme in all the country's institutions: Parliament, Provincial Council and Regional Council.
Marc Almendro explained the motivation for his candidacy: "We are a group of people committed to our country, to the republican project and to Esquerra, and now we want to build a renewed project for Maresme." The man from Alejandra has defended a "clearly municipalist" candidacy that "brings a dose of fresh air to the region", values that he puts at the disposal of the party.
The 'Sumem pel Maresm'e candidacy has opted for four axes of work that involve strengthening the region by aligning its representative potential; exercise strong leadership in Maresme to positively influence all local sections; serve the thirty municipalities working from now on the municipal 2027; and enhance the value of being a militant in the region, through training, meetings, etc., taking advantage of the talent that, according to the official note, the party continually generates.
On the other hand, the elections to the National Council have proclaimed Silvia Sáiz, Raki-Eva Kandeh Buwaro and Lluís Llovet.
