Serbian Dejan Milojevic, who was an assistant coach of the Golden State Warriors, died this Wednesday at the age of 46 after suffering a heart attack while he was concentrating with the franchise, as confirmed, among others, by his former teams Partizan Belgrade and Valencia Basket.

Milojevic suffered the attack in Sant Lake City and underwent emergency surgery but could not overcome the situation. The NBA has suspended the game that the Warriors were supposed to play with the Jazz tonight.

After an early retirement due to knee problems, Milojevic became a coach in 2012 and after successfully passing through the bench of Mega Vizura in his country and Montenegrin Buducnost in the summer of 2021 he ended up at the Warriors, who a year later they won the NBA.

The Valencian club issued a statement to convey its condolences for its player in the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons, to which he arrived from Partizan Belgrade and with whom he played 71 matches with the Valencian club in the acb and in the Eurocup. The Serbian club also confirmed the death of its former player and conveyed its condolences to Milojevic's family and friends.
