The Danone staff in Parets del Vallès has accepted the pre-agreement of the works committee and management for the closure of the plant by 110 votes in favor, 14 against, no abstentions and no null votes.
This was explained by the president of the works council, Jordi Barragan, who added that now the next step is the final signing of the pact, this Thursday.
On Monday, after the committee and management reached the previous agreement, the workers called off the strike that began the previous Saturday.
The pact includes all the workers' requests, such as early retirement for 33 employees aged 55 and older, severance pay and the transfer of 37 people to the Aldaia plant, in the Valencian Community.
