Cupra inaugurates a space inspired by Casa Seat in Barcelona on Madrid's 'golden mile'

Cupra has starred in a great social event this Wednesday in Madrid to promote its brand through a new concept to date in the city, which replicates the Casa Seat project, underway for some time on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona.

The new space is located at number 88 Serrano Street, on the 'golden mile' of Madrid, one of the most exclusive areas of the city, and has 1,300 square meters. It is located in a building previously occupied by Zara Home and is the largest of the nine stores opened so far by Cupra in the world.

Like Casa Seat, it is not only an exhibition center for Cupra initiatives and models, but also hosts social, business and cultural events. It has a restaurant and an auditorium, as well as rooms for exhibitions.

The inauguration was attended, apart from the CEO of Seat, Wayne Griffiths, by the Minister of Industry, Jordi Hereu, and the mayors of Madrid and Barcelona, José Luis Martínez-Almeida and Jaume Collboni.

"It is a premium area. It is difficult to find something better," said Griffiths, who two years ago had the idea of opening this space in Madrid. "It's not just about selling, but about having a relationship with the city. Here we bring the spirit of Barcelona, its design and its light."

Collboni has highlighted Cupra, which this year celebrates six years as its own brand within the Volkswagen Group, its character as a "Barcelona brand with global projection." The new space, he has indicated, is "a little piece of the Barcelona industry in Madrid."

Among the personalities who attended the event are the Secretary of State for Industry, Rebeca Torró; the former president of the Valencian Generalitat, Ximo Puig; the delegate of the Generalitat de Catalunya in Madrid, Joan Capdevila, and the general secretary of UGT, Pepe Álvarez.

The ambassador of the United Kingdom, Hugh Elliot, and the minister of the German embassy, Ingo Stender, also attended, as well as the former Minister of Transport and president of Paradores, Raquel Sánchez, and the former minister of the PP Íñigo de la Serna.

Among the representatives of the business world, the president of Ford Spain, Jesús Alonso, stands out; the CEO of Prisa, Carlos Núñez, and the General Director of Commercial and Expansion of Grupo Godó, Pere Guardiola.
