Colombian press says that one of the dead in Saler is a drug trafficker who escaped an attack

According to El Universal, a newspaper from Cartagena de Indias, Roberto Carlos Vega Daza would be one of the three men shot dead yesterday in Valencia. The Colombian newspaper assures that the Spanish media are unaware of the circumstances of what happened, but "they point to a possible settling of accounts in relation to an overturning (theft) of a significant amount of cocaine."

El Universal explains that "Roberto Carlos is known for belonging to the Vega Daza clan, a victim of several attacks. The most recent left his father and brothers dead, and was perpetrated in Villa Campestre, in Barranquilla, on June 29, 2023. That time, Rafael Vega Cuello (father), Ronald Iván Vega Daza, and Ray Vega Daza (sons) died at the scene after receiving 33 bullets; Roberto Carlos was injured."

The Colombian newspaper adds that the family clan "had a legally constituted company that provided private security services, as well as apartments and commercial premises to rent. They also dedicated themselves to buying and selling cars (automobiles), but, apparently, not in any way." legally constituted".

According to the Valencia Civil Guard Command, at around 9:45 p.m. the notification was received that in a Volkswagen Passat vehicle, in the Gola de Pujol area, there were several bodies in a strange position.

It was then confirmed that there were three men who died from gunshot wounds, apparently of Colombian nationality, and the Homicide Group of the Command took charge of the investigation.

A relative or acquaintance of one of the dead was able to identify the bodies, which are at the Institute of Legal Medicine of Valencia, where an autopsy will be performed later today.
