Climate Action leads the front to preserve the morphology of the Delta and stop the new delineation

The Climate Action Department will lead the front against the new demarcation of the Ebro Delta coastline. City councils, irrigators, owners and the Government will defend that the current morphology of the Delta can be conserved and will transfer it to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition at the meeting of the bilateral table that they have requested.

As the territorial director of Acció Climàtica, Jesús Gómez, has defended, the Delta Strategy, which has been designed and budgeted by the Generalitat, "is sufficient and effective" to maintain the current delimitation of the maritime-terrestrial public domain, avoiding the setback posed by the State. . All those affected have already presented allegations to the demarcation proposal, but they will ask the Ministry to "postpone it."

The territorial director of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda, Jesús Gómez, met this Friday with the five deltaic town councils, both communities of irrigators and property owners affected by the new demarcation of the coast of the Ebro delta proposed by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition.

All those affected resist losing more land with the new delimitation because once "the area becomes a maritime-terrestrial area, you must always ask for permission, it is not your home. You lose it, day-to-day life becomes difficult and makes work ineffective" Gómez pointed out.
