This was announced this Saturday from Lleida by the leader of the formation in Catalonia, Carlos Carrizosa, who has accused Aragonès of "electoralism" for having presented his proposal from the headquarters of the Government when, from the point of view of Ciudadanos, it is a approach that only has the support of his party, ERC. "It seems that in Catalonia we are very used to the fact that whoever acts as president believes that Catalonia is his and that he represents everyone", he exclaimed.
The defense of this law of clarity from the "institutional microphones", from which Aragonès made an offer to the other political forces to negotiate its elaboration, infringes, as Carrizosa has denounced, the regulations that govern electoral times, which require behavior "clean" and "scrupulous" with the neutrality on the part of the institutional representatives, for which Ciudadanos has decided to refer the performance of Aragonès to the JEC.
In this sense, the leader of Ciudadanos in Parliament has recalled that it was his parliamentary group that promoted the disqualification of Quim Torra by filing a similar complaint against the then president for not removing a banner that demanded the return of "political prisoners". from the balcony of the Generalitat during the electoral period.
The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, "has already received a slap on the wrist from the Electoral Board for giving a partisan press conference from Moncloa", Carrizosa also recalled from Lleida, where the regional committee has met with the candidate for mayor, Maria Burriel, and the general secretary of Ciudadanos, Adrián Vázquez.
For Ciudadanos, Aragonès, as Torra did at the time, is "taking advantage" of the public media to make partisan proposals and "sneak" separatist messages into official social media accounts. In the opinion of Ciudadanos, this use of the institutional headquarters is contrary to the principle of "neutrality of the public powers that must prevail throughout the electoral period", which is why the party requests the JEC to file a file on the president of the Generalitat.
