Cervera lives the tradition of the Christmas Market

The Cervera Christmas market fair is a success, since to park I had to go around the town three times to find a place to leave the car.

When I entered Calle Major through Plaza de Santa Anna I had to pick up the tripod and store the camera well so as not to hit it everywhere.

I noticed that the Paer en cap, Jan Pomés, had no problem stopping people and greeting them. One lady at first didn't realize who she was and, when she finally recognized the Paer, there was a nervous smile, an "everything fine" and "cames ajudeu-me". Apart from this fun anecdote, when I arrived at the Plaza Major I was also able to photograph the Paeria at night for La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.

This year the Mercat de Nadal in Cervera has had a different format, as it has occupied Plaza Santa Anna, Calle Major and Plaza Major.

It has brought together more than 50 points of sale, both local businesses and paradistas from outside, which have exhibited flowers, craft products, food, decoration, and antiques.

There was also an exhibition of crafts (Calle Major), an animal corral (Plaza Major), giant games (Plaza Santa Anna), traveling musical performances, gymkhana, workshops, food pairings, a performance by Grepp Teatre, Christmas soup... And, if you entered the church of Sant Joan Degollat, you could see an exhibition of cribs and nativity figures.
