Carmen Borrego is moved to remember her father: "I still miss you"

The public knows a lot about the life of the Campos, but in reality, if one thinks about it, they know little about the true intimacy of their family life. Even less about the incident that changed their lives forever, the loss of José María Borrego, about whom they have barely spoken in public.

Carmen Borrego is in a delicate moment on a personal and professional level, since after the end of Sálvame and with her mother's health deteriorating faster than expected, she is not going through her best moments. Very sensitive, the 39th anniversary of her father's death was coming, to which she wanted to send an emotional message through her public Instagram profile.

"Dear dad, today you left us 39 years ago, I still miss you and love you as if it were yesterday. I love you," writes the one who was a collaborator on programs like Sálvame. Her followers did not take long to send her messages of love and support, sending her the best wishes for her at such a difficult time for her on a personal level.

Carmen Borrego spoke about the death of her father after the tragic loss of actress Verónica Forqué, who also died after taking her own life on December 13, 2021. At that time, Borrego acknowledged that she had not overcome the death of her father. "It took me a long time to forgive and understand my father, but the three of us made a pineapple and we didn't let any of us fall," said the collaborator in Sálvame.

The daughter of María Teresa Campos also recalled that she needed professional help: "I was traumatized, I was very close to my father, my right eye." At only 17 years old, the situation was very complicated for her. "You get over it and you learn to live with it, over time you learn to understand but the anger never completely goes away."

Terelu Campos also wanted to talk more about the subject in her memoirs, recalling how she was only 18 years old when the director of Radio Nacional de Marbella took his own life, just a few hours before meeting her and her sister Carmen, who were in Malaga without suspecting that anything could happen to their father or that tragic end.

Terelu tells how she asked her sister Carmen to call her father and tell him that they were going to go with him to Marbella the next day. “My father gave an answer that logically went unnoticed at that time. - No, wait, it's not good for me. I'm pretty busy."

With the eldest of the Campos in Miami (USA) recording the new project of La Fábrica de la Tele for Netflix, it is Carmen Borrego who has stayed in Spain pending the matriarch of the family.

Although Carmen enjoyed a vacation with her husband, José María Bernal, in the days prior to the departure from Terelu to Miami, some witnesses were able to verify how she was affected during those days, even crying in public. In addition to the delicate health of María Teresa Campos, there is, we must add that her relationship with her son. José María Almoguera, who has just become the father of Carmen's first grandchild; he has been very tight for months.
