The Spanish driver Carlos Sainz (Audi), current leader of the Dakar 2024, received a visit this Saturday at the rally camp from the president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, in advance of the final of the Spanish Super Cup that will be held this Sunday in Riad Real Madrid and the Barça team.
"It's a nice touch to come visit me and wish me luck. I've told you that the best person wins, but it could be that Madrid wins," said Sainz.
Sainz has also commented on this competition that this Super Cup format is "different." "But if it is good for the clubs that play it and provides them with resources, why not?"
During their visit to the camp, Laporta and his entourage also took time to greet Laia Sanz.
In this regard, he added that "Arabia is trying to do a lot of sporting events, like the Dakar, golf or football and is really taking certain sports to another level."
