Biden plans to announce his 2024 presidential candidacy on Tuesday

Joe Biden plans to announce his candidacy for the 2020 presidential election next Tuesday, according to sources from his team leaked to different US media.

The presidential advisers put the final touches on the video of the official announcement, the sources said after not a few statements by the president himself, in recent months, in the sense that he "planned" or it was "his purpose" to present himself again.

The date of the announcement is not accidental: the president, who has just turned 80, wanted to make the day coincide with the fourth anniversary of his official candidacy for the 2020 elections, which obviously won the former Republican president and since November a candidate for re-election, Donald Trump.

That day, April 25, 2019, the man who had been a United States Senator for 36 years and Vice President of the Government with Barack Obama in the previous term (2009-2017) declared, also on video: "If we give Donald Trump eight years in the White House, will forever alter the character of this nation. That is why today I am announcing my candidacy for President of the United States."

Biden's advisers began "quiet and extensive preparations" months ago that included meetings with both the president himself and his wife, Jill Biden, at their White House residence.

Anita Dunn and Jen O'Malley Dillon, two of Biden's top advisers, were overseeing re-election plans and interviewing staff selected for top jobs alongside the president and candidate, The Washington Post explained, while the Democratic National Committee it financed "research projects to study the electoral landscape."

Everything seems on point.
