Bayern aim at a Manchester United that is eliminated from Europe

Manchester United needed a carom on the last day to go to the second round of the Champions League, win their match and a draw in the other group match, and they didn't even do their homework: defeated by a Bayern Munich team already classified as first who won at Old Trafford with a goal from Coman (0-1). The Red Devils signed their failure with a bang, even out of the Europa League by finishing last in the group. The surprising Copenhagen finished second after beating Galatasaray (1-0).

Despite risking their lives in their field, in front of their fans, Erik ten Hag's team barely got close to Neuer's goal, powerless against the Bavarian giant. The English say goodbye to the competition, leaving a sad record in the group stage of only one victory and a draw and four defeats. In the last five seasons, those from Manchester have only been to the round of 16 of the top European competition on one occasion.

The performance of the most successful club in England against Tuchel's team was another example of the sad campaign of results and play that they are having this year, just as unrecognizable in Europe as in a Premier League where they are out of the European positions. Bayern were at all times more dangerous, more incisive despite only risking honor and the millions awarded by UEFA for each victory.

After various attempts to accumulate some approaches to the three English sticks, the German champion too easily built a wall in the front of the area that ended with a pass from Kane for the final shot into Coman's net against a sold Onana. It was the final straw to the suffering of the Red Devils.

For its part, PSG, focused year after year on achieving the first orejona in its history, will have the difficult challenge this Wednesday of beating Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park to secure a place in the 'group of death' and avoid its umpteenth European accident. The Germans, already classified, would give up first place if they lose. On the other hand, a draw or defeat for Luis Enrique's team would leave the French classification at the mercy of the result of the match between Newcastle and Milan at St James' Park.

In the Metropolitano, Atlético, already in the second round, needs at least a draw against Lazio to go first and thus avoid the strongest rivals.
