Badalona buys the building of the Medical Specialties Center on Sant Anastasi street

The Badalona City Council (Barcelonès Nord), through Badalona Servicios Asistenciales (BSA), the municipal public organization for health services, has acquired the building located at numbers 67-69 Sant Anastasi street where the current Center is located of Specialties (CESA) which hosts part of the outpatient consultations of the Badalona Municipal Hospital (HMB).

This property, located a few meters from the Municipal Hospital, currently offers consultations in Endocrinology, Nutrition, Rheumatology, Occupational Health, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology and Urology. The building, which had been the Escalada school, was renovated by the City Council and began to receive the first patients in 2011.

With the acquisition of the building, for an amount of 2.7 million euros, and its municipal ownership, it definitively puts an end to the uncertainties generated in recent years regarding the contractual coverage of the property.

The mayor, Xavier Garcia Albiol, stated that "I have signed the purchase of a strategic building for healthcare in Badalona, very happy to take another step so that the city's residents receive the best healthcare." The mayor added that: "finally, after many years, we have ensured the future of this reference space that provides an essential specialist service for Badalona."
