The regional government of Madrid chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso has presented the accounts for 2024 with a budget that amounts to 27,558 euros as the first foundation of the recently begun legislature.

The bill has already been sent to the Madrid Assembly to begin processing, although the absolute majority of the PP in the regional Parliament guarantees that it will come into force on January 1 without the need to include any amendments from the opposition groups.

After putting together an Executive full of technocrats who placed the ideological helm in herself, the electoral results of 23-J - with the subsequent inability of Alberto Núñez Feijóo (PP) to form a government - have forced Ayuso to rethink her initial positions. To the point of having asked her nine advisors to take a step forward to help her in the need to wage an ideological battle against the hypothetical government of PSOE and Sumar as a guarantee to continue acting as a popular battering ram against the acting president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.

For internal management, Ayuso will have the highest regional budgets in the history of the Community of Madrid -27,558 million euros, which is 19.6% more than those approved in 2022- despite the constant tax reduction that characterizes to the Executives of the Madrid leader, and which have been distributed as follows.

Primary Care, with an investment of 2,572 million euros, will have a new Comprehensive Improvement Plan, 1,100 new professionals will be hired and 19 health centers will be built.

The incorporation as permanent statutory staff of more than 14,000 professionals who will improve the reduction of waiting lists.

62 million for the dining room scholarships, 38 million more than in the 2022 accounts (which are the ones that have been in force in 2023).

The beneficiaries of scholarships for non-university study increase by 36.5% to 750,000, which represents 200,000 more.

138.6 million euros for investments in educational infrastructure, the construction of new centers, including 5 nursery schools and the creation of more than 12,000 new places.

The number of Vocational Training places will be increased by 10,000.

New deflation of the regional personal income tax rate in 2024 and the personal and family minimum.

Deduction of up to 20% of the regional personal income tax rate for residents abroad who want to invest in the region.

New package of tax measures for those who move their residence to municipalities with less than 2,500 inhabitants, personal income tax deductions for those under 35 years of age who move to these territories and for those who buy or rehabilitate a house in these towns, and a bonus on Property Transfers o Documented Legal Acts for the purchase of a property.

Finish the extension of Line 3 (45.1 million), continue the works on Line 11 (140.5 million) and develop the Valdebebas interchange (23.9 million).

Promotion of 1,600 Social Agency homes in 10 municipalities; promotion of the Vive Plan for affordable rentals with the completion of the construction of 4,000 homes in 12 municipalities and works for another 2,472.

Promote the Birth Plan with an increase of more than 84 million euros (275%) to cover direct aid of 500 euros per month for mothers under 30 years of age, from which more than 13,000 women have already benefited to date.

The new food supply contract for all centers of the Madrid Social Care Agency (AMAS) will be increased by 25%, until it reaches 26 million.
