Ayuso highlights from the King's speech that "thanks to the Constitution we will be able to overcome the division"

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, shared the speech of King Felipe VI and highlighted that "the Constitution has managed to overcome the division, the cause of many errors in the history of Spain."

This was stated on his social networks after Felipe VI's traditional Christmas speech, in which he made it clear that outside the Constitution "there is neither democracy nor coexistence possible."

"The King warns that without respect for the Magna Carta there is no democracy or coexistence possible. We must ensure the good name, respect and dignity of our country," highlighted the Madrid leader.

As in his latest speeches, including the one delivered on November 29 on the occasion of the solemn inauguration of the XV Legislature, Don Felipe has made a firm defense of the Constitution, which in 2023 has reached its 45th birthday, to make it clear that The Magna Carta constitutes the key piece in today's democracy.

Likewise, Felipe VI has vindicated the constitutional role that the institutions are entrusted with and the need for them not only to fulfill it, but also to respect the rest in their role.
