At least four dead in a shooting at a teen party in Alabama

Four people have been killed and several injured during a shooting Saturday night in Dadeville, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has confirmed. According to the first information, the shooting occurred in a dance studio during a possible birthday party for teenagers.

The State Law Enforcement Agency has so far released little information about the shooting. The station has shown crime scene footage around the Mahogany Masterpiece Dance Studio and neighboring buildings, with a heavy police presence.

The first investigations indicate that the shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night. No hypothesis is yet known as to what caused the shooting.

“This morning, I grieve with the people of Dadeville and my countrymen from Alabama. Violent crime has no place in our state, and we law enforcement are closely updating as new details emerge," Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey said in a statement posted on social media.

Dadeville, which has a population of about 3,200, is in eastern Alabama, about 57 miles (92 kilometers) northeast of Montgomery, Alabama.
