The Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk is officially a new Girona player after signing a contract until 2028 with the Catalan club, which after days of rumors would have paid around seven million euros for more than 50% of the footballer's rights.
Dovbyk, 26 years old and 189 centimeters, will arrive in Montilivi from his country's Dnipro-1, with whom he scored 29 goals in 39 games last year. This season he has played two games in the Champions League qualifiers, with a goal in the tie against Greek side Panathinaikos.
He has said goodbye to Dnipro-1, which he arrived in 2020 after playing in Norway (Midtjylland and Sonderjyske), with 54 goals in 86 games according to the Transfermarkt portal. He has been the top scorer in the last two editions of the Ukrainian league and is international with his country's team, with a record of six goals in 18 games.
In Montilivi Dovbyk will coincide with his teammate Viktor Tsygankov, signed in January from Dynamo Kiev and one of the great references of Míchel Sánchez's team.
