The Attorney General's Office (FGR) has reported this Friday of the arrest of the former head of the former Attorney General's Office (PGR) Jesús Murillo Karam, linked in the case of the disappearance of the 43 Mexican students from Ayotzinapa.
The "Federal Ministerial Police completes an arrest warrant against Jesús 'M'", the FGR has announced in a tweet.
His arrest occurs after the Commission for Truth and Access to Justice in the Ayotzinapa case, of the Ministry of the Interior, pointed out that the disappearance of the 43 Mexican students from Ayotzinapa, in 2014, was a "state crime" in the that authorities at all levels were involved and there is no indication that they are alive.
Who was head of the PGR during the Government of Enrique Peña Nieto (2012-2018) has been arrested at his home in the Mexican capital around noon.
