The Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) filed yesterday the case for the alleged crime of sexual assault, against a party colleague, of the non-attached Parliament deputy Daniel Serrano, who had been secretary general of the Catalan PP and resigned when he went to court. light this issue in January 2021. Serrano has been a parliamentarian since the resignation of Eva Parera a few months ago, although the popular Catalans asked him not to take the seat. He had been president of the PP in Barcelona and later he was general secretary of the formation in Catalonia, Alejandro Fernández's number two, but a year and a half ago he was forced by the national leadership, then headed by Pablo Casado, to present his resignation when transcending the judicial case in which he was being investigated.

He had already been a member of the Catalan Chamber as a deputy in the popular subgroup of the Parliament in May 2019 to replace Andrea Levy. Before becoming a regional deputy, he was a councilor-spokesperson for the PP in the Cornellà City Council from 2015 to 2019 and was a deputy in Congress between 2011 and 2016.
