Antonio Tejado, at the trial: "I am convinced that my aunt knows that I have nothing to do with it"

Antonio Tejado today faced a key day for the future of the case in which he is involved: the one known as 'operation Abgena'. This Friday at 10:00 a.m. the television collaborator went to the investigative courts directed from the Seville I prison, where he remains in provisional detention for his alleged involvement in the robbery at María del Monte's house.

A statement that he has made voluntarily and at the request of his lawyer to try to defend his innocence. And he was the lawyer who wanted to rule on the matter at the end of the trial. Among other things, he has expressed that the singer's nephew "has absolutely disassociated himself from any type of gang or criminal organization and from any crime."

The Diario de Sevilla has revealed some of the statements that Antonio Tejado has expressed before Judge Juan Gutiérrez Casillas. "I am convinced that my aunt knows that I have nothing to do with it," said the former reality show contestant.

After finishing the hearing, María del Monte's nephew left the room in tears and asking not to go through the journalists' hallway again, as stated by the aforementioned media. But the one who did not hesitate to speak to journalists was Fernando Velo, his lawyer, who revealed the rest of the statement.

"He has flatly denied that he ever provided information so that not this robbery could be committed, but any robbery. He has ultimately maintained his innocence," the lawyer stated before the cameras. Likewise, he has expressed that Tejado has categorically refuted having any connection with the majority of the members of the band, only admitting his sporting relationship with Arsen Garibian (El Ruso).

Antonio Tejado's lawyer has ruled that his client's only relationship with this case is having a connection "with the victim and with one of those investigated."

On the other hand, Fernando Velo wanted to address the issue of "telephone taps" by the police on María del Monte's nephew. "They are an investigative procedure. In the wiretaps we will have to see what there is and what there is not. There is nothing that relates it, in our opinion, to the facts," he assured.

As he explained, Antonio became emotional as soon as he started talking about his aunt in front of the judge, since "he is very hurt by all of this." And if something is going wrong, it is not only that he has to be in preventive detention as an investigator, but that "the victim is also a person for whom he is very fond."
