One of the topics that Ana Rosa Quintana wanted to address this week has been the heritage of rich people and the place in Spain where they are located. According to the magazine, "their fortunes grew by 23%" during the year 2023. And not only that, but Madrid is the first city in the world in which they choose to live and establish their assets. "If they bring money to Madrid, we are not going to object," the presenter began.
As she continued, as a Madrid native she is "filled with pride" by this type of news. And it was right after when the controversy broke out. "They don't pay taxes here because they don't generate jobs here. But we want them here so that jobs can be created in restaurants, in stores, so that they can consume... What do we want? But far from ceasing his arguments, Sardà continued defending his city at all costs. Among other things, he wanted to make it clear that "all the tourism that comes to Spain also ends up in Barcelona." An opinion defended by many users on social networks, who call the journalist's opinion "shameful."
Even so, many others have sided with Quintana, especially with the last statement he made at the end of this intense debate: "I love Barcelona, but the Colau Government degraded the city a lot. It is resurfacing, yes, but the phenomenon of Madrid is there."
