An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 was recorded that has not caused damage in Lebrija

An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 was recorded this Sunday in the province of Seville, with its epicenter in the municipality of Lebrija, as reported by the National Geographic Institute.

The earthquake occurred at 12:47 p.m. at a depth of 24 kilometers, according to data consulted by Europa Press.

The earthquake was noticed in Mairena de Aljarafe, where a neighbor called the 112 Andalucía Emergency service stating that he had felt a tremor for several seconds. There is no evidence of personal or material damage.

This is the second earthquake to be recorded in Andalusia after the one that occurred on Friday night in the neighboring country of Morocco, where more than 2,000 people have lost their lives and another 2,000 have been injured.

The first of them occurred on Saturday night, at 11:24 p.m., in the province of Jaén, with the epicenter in the municipality of Castillo de Locubín. Also of magnitude 3.3 and without causing damage. The 112 emergency center did not receive any calls.

An earthquake measuring 2.2 on the Richter scale was felt this Sunday morning in the municipality of Laxe and surrounding areas in A Coruña.

As reported by the National Geographic Institute, the earthquake had its epicenter in the town of A Coruña and was recorded at 9:46 a.m.
