Alejandro Sanz starts his tour in one of his worst personal moments: "from this hole that I have here in my chest..."

Alejandro Sanz has returned to the stage. The Madrid singer, who is going through a personal bad streak, has started his tour in Spain with a first concert in Pamplona. In the Navarrese capital, the singer has been able to feel the warmth and support of his fans, days after he confessed that he is not mentally well and that he has broken up with Rachel Valdés after a relationship of just over three years. As if that were not enough, various information suggests that he is drowning in debt.

Sanz's honesty has never been in doubt. On May 27, his voice on social media vibrated with the harshness of his current situation. "I'm not fine...I'm sad and tired. Sometimes I don't even want to be," he admitted.

A heavy blow that rocked his loyal fan base, but it wasn't all darkness. However, the clouds seemed to dissipate slightly days later with a hopeful message: "Although the light does not finish coming, it seems that a firefly has woken up in my chest." A glimmer of hope that relieved all those who were waiting for news of his recovery.

Luckily, music heals everything, at least momentarily. For more than two hours, Sanz painted in the air with his music, reviewing great hits such as Corazón Partío, Amiga mía or My favorite person, while presenting pieces from his latest sound canvas, Sanz. The latter, nominated for Album of the Year at the 2022 Latin Grammys, has become the best-selling physical album by Spaniards in 2021.

As the concert drew to a close, Sanz, visibly moved by the support received at this important moment in his life, extended his gratitude to fans for the love shown during the concert. The public responded with an ovation that resounded in every corner of the stadium.

"Never forget how important it is to be close to the people you love," said the singer. In relation to his state of health, he insisted: "Let's never try to find a reason for these things, it's not for anything or anyone. It's a hole that is made here and you don't know very well why. But from this hole I want to give the Thank you for being there and understanding me."
